Condolence From: Carol Kennedy
Condolence: Bobby, Karen and family:
I have had the honor of knowing Ernie for 46 years. Mike had always had a special place in your family and when I met Ann and Big Ernie I was welcomed with open arms! I loved listening to his stories and sometimes off color jokes! Mikey always enjoyed the ribbing Ernie gave him about Mikey's beloved UMASS Basketball team. But the one thing Ernie and Mikey shared was the love of the Boston Red Sox, they would talk endless about every good or bad play they made. Ernie's other joy was the "Horses" all I can imagine now is him and Ann at the heavenly track betting on the horses! Or maybe "Bingo"! I think he knew where every race track was on the East Coast! Meagan loved Ernie's jokes and her husband Owen loved coming to your home and talking hours about WWII and shared stories! Ernie had such a vast range of knowledge..I loved listening to him! My absolute favorite was talking politics and he was knowledgable..I always seemed to have to stop..listen and then put forth my argument and be ready to defend it! He was a great guy and he has a special place in my heart! I'm hurting right now but when I remember some of our talks I smile...I will miss him forever! Bobby thank you for sharing him!
