Obituary for Harold A Hall Jr.

Harold A. Hall, Jr., 87, of Enfield, beloved husband to Avis (Green) Hall, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born on October 26, 1930, in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Harold A. and Edith (Buzzelle) Hall Sr.. Harold worked for the Springfield Republican for 46 years including the position of Composing Room Foreman until his retirement in 1992. He was a devoted member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enfield where he was loved by many. He was an officer at his church for 31 years along with holding other various positions. He was an avid card player, an admirable bowler, and a big sports fan, his favorite teams including the Red Sox, the Celtics, the NY Giants, and UCONN Women's Basketball. Harold was a movie buff and loved going out for dinner or enjoying meals with his whole family at home. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Avis, Harold is survived by his three children, Kimberly Peel and her husband, James, of Somers, Andrew V. Hall and his wife, Tanya, of Hyde Park, NY, and Jennifer Clark and her husband, David, of Enfield; one brother, Howard Hall and his significant other, Beth of Suffield, and six grandchildren, Dillon, Hunter, Braeden, Riley, Bethany, and Emily. Harold was predeceased by a sister, Muriel Smith and by his brother, Lloyd Buzzelle. We’d like to send along a special thank you to Parkway Pavilion in Enfield for their loving care. A Celebration of Harold’s life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1518 King Street, Enfield with Pastor Steven Thayer officiating.
