Bob grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts where he played sports and hung out at the corner making life-long friendships with many. He went to work for Jumbo Supermarkets which was later purchased by Big Y and became a supervisor. He worked for Curne & Crevier Food Brokers where he pioneered many of the items that we purchase in supermarkets today. He also became president of a local salesman association known as Knights of the Grip of Western Mass. He then worked for a food broker, Roberts & Associates, where he earned and was able to treat his wife to many trips such as Hawaii, Acapulco, Alaska, and Greece.

He had two passions: love for his family and the love of golf. Bob rarely missed a grandchild sporting event , attending and enjoying girls basketball , softball, baseball, and wrestling matches for years. He loved the game of golf and instilled the love of golf into his son and grandchildren. He played most of his golf over the past 40 years at Franconia in Springfield, Mass., where his low was a 73 and where he had a hole-in-one. Over 30 years ago he started and organized an annual golf trip to Lake Morey which he loved and shared with numerous friends, his son, and grandsons which still continues . He lived in Enfield, CT for the last 58 years and was a communicant of Holy Family Church.

He was a big UConn Women’s Basketball fan, having season tickets in the past. Special thanks to Dawn Hart and Danis Brackett who helped care for him during the past few years.
