Obituary for Michael S. Mangeri

Michael Sam Mangeri, 64, of Windsor Locks, CT, passed away suddenly on April 25. He was born in Concord, MA on May 4, 1953 to John and Evelyn (Couture) Mangeri. He grew up in Enfield, CT and was a 1971 graduate of Enfield High School. He was currently an Instrumentation & Electronics Technician in the Vibration Lab at UTC Aerospace Systems, Windsor Locks, CT, where he worked for the past 33 years where he traveled occasionally to FL to assist with NASA Shuttle related work. He has been a member of BCA and local billiards leagues for many years, a town baseball and softball coach, and car enthusiast, and always a family oriented father.
Michael leaves his wife Elsie (Amrich), his daughter Lauren, his son John and future daughter in-law Elizabeth. He is survived by his mother Evelyn; his brother Steven, sisters Deborah and Sandra, his Godson Joseph, his nieces Melissa, Kaitlyn, her fiancé Brandon and their son Kaden. He is also survived by his brother-in-law George Amrich and wife Sheila; brother-in-law John Amrich; nephews Robert and his fiancée Meredith, Christopher, wife Megan and their son James; as well as many great friends who are family to Michael. Michael was predeceased by his father John in 2013 and sister-in-law, Nancy Amrich in 2017.
Michael’s family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. (Please meet at the church). Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
