Craig W  Connor
Craig W. Connor, 73, of Windsor Locks passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Hartford Hospital with his loving family by his side. Craig was born January 27, 1945, in Rockville, CT the son of the late Walter T. and Naoma (Binheimer) Connor. After high school Craig enlisted with the CT Army National Guard where he proudly served for several years. He retired from the CT Transit in Hartford in 2007 after 30 years as a bus driver in the City of Hartford. Craig was a former member of the Windsor Locks Volunteer Fire Department. Some of his happiest of times were spent with his family especially his grandchildren. Craig was an avid movie buff and looked forward to seeing the new blockbusters in the theatre. He was known to many as a night owl always up to dancing with family and friends. Craig looked forward to the holidays, especially proud of his Irish heritage he loved St. Patrick’s Day and attending the parades with his daughter Karrie. Craig is survived by his three daughters, Tracy Majersky and her husband, Edward of Walnut Cove, NC , Karrie Connor-Huntley and her husband, Craig of Stafford Springs and Becky Becker and her husband, Kenneth of Feeding Hills, MA; his grandchildren, James Connor, Ben Bouchard, Autumn Edmonds, Riley Poppel, Richard Poppel, III Jordan and Jena Huntley, Austin Clark and Jay Majersky; his great-grandson, Jameson Allen Connor; a brother, Gary Connor and his wife, Andrea Levine and their children, Chelsea and Nicholas. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, March 15, 2018,at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 South Center St., Windsor Locks. Burial for Craig will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Poquonock. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Double Dog Resuce, P.O. Box 435, Unionville, CT 06085 or to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
