Condolence: Michael was an amazing friend, father, grandfather, and a peepaw. When I think about the man we lost on March 2nd, I think not of the sadness that has bestowed all of us but of the amazing life he led. To quote William Wallace "Every man dies, but not every man really lives".

I met Michael 20 years ago and from the day I met him there was always a mutual respect. What started out as a father of a girl I admired blossomed into my father in law. Through the years we became very close and I would consider him not just my father in law but one of my best friends. We would often enjoy a beverage or three and just chat about the world. As most know he was an avid Red Sox fan although I was a Yankee fan we had a shared love for the game. Sports were just one item as we share many common traits. I loved those moments and they are memories I will never forget.

Michael was a man who loved the life he shared with his family and friends. It goes without saying that Angie along with daughters – Lisa and Heather and his five grandchildren (Zach, Josh, Julia, Bella and Eli) were his pride and joy. Although I am thankful for the time we had with Michael it will never be enough. He was very proud of his family and their various accomplishments. I for one will never forget the man who taught me about respect, love and admiration for what life can bring.

Condolence: To Mike’s family, I worked with Mike for over ten years and before he retired I sat next to him. We shared many, many laughs and stories. He kept a count of days until retirement on his white board and would decrement the number each day. I am very glad he was able to retire and spend time with what is most important – family and friends. I am pleased he was able to travel to England, Scotland and Wales. Work is easily forgotten but colleagues like Mike are not. Peace.

Condolence: I am crying like a baby right now. Mike was one of my best friends in high school and college. I was at Drury High and we were bitter rivals on the basketball court but we became very close off the court. Some of my best memories were our 3 on 3 games between Mike,Al Skrocki and Joe Novak vs me Jeff Noel and Mike Kirby at Haskins school in North Adams during the summer nights. They would show up in his orange Volkswagen beetle car. Even though you do not know me I feel your loss so very much. I should have tried harder to reach out to him after all these years, just to say hi. I will say it now - love you Mike.

Condolence: To all of Mike's family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was and always will be my friend that I actually knew my entire life. We grew up together and Mike was my second brother, only taller. We lost track of each other after high school, but we always enjoyed our talks at the reunions. Mike was so proud of you Angie. Mike always bragged how lucky he was that you were in his life. Please cherish all the memories knowing that so many people are standing next to you. My entire family from Adams will remember Michael always.
