Forrest E.  Hewey
Forrest E. Hewey, 77, of Enfield, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at his home. The son of the late Peleg and Opal (Irish) Hewey, Forrest was born in Augusta, ME and raised in Wytopitlock, ME. he was a resident of the Enfield community for the past 14 years. Forrest was retired from Roncari Construction after 25 years with the company. He was a member of the Teamsters Local. He enjoyed shopping and eating out with his special friend Mary. He also enjoyed traveling to different places over the years, including taking a cross country tour for a year in 1989. Forrest loved all animals, especially St Bernard dogs, having bred and raised several of them. He is survived by his children, Dana Hewey and his wife Mona of East Windsor, Linda Marie Hewey of Harwinton, Debbie Hewey of TN, Daniel Daigle of Vernon, Angela Costello and her husband Chuck of Hebron, Mitchell Daigle and his fiancee Arlyn of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Jonathan and Emily Costello, Christina Johnson, Danielle Percoski, Michelle Hewey, Heather Hewey, Michael and Ryan Hewey; and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Elaine Hewey, a brother, Evans Hewey, and recently, his friend, Mary Palomba-Bourke. Visitation hours will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 noon Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 followed by a funeral service at noon, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Committal will follow at St. James Cemetery in Manchester. Donations in Forrest's memory may be made to the Amercian Cancer Society, 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
