Obituary for Dave J. "Chief" Brown

Dave J. "Chief"  Brown
David J. "Chief" Brown, 52, of Windsor Locks, husband of Jennifer (Kinsley) Brown entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at home. Dave was born February 27, 1965, in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Gerald Sr. and Jacqueline (Ouellette) Brown. He was raised in Enfield and was a graduate of Fermi High School Class of 1983. Dave worked alongside his father with the G.M. Brown & Sons Drywall as a sheet rocker prior to working on his own as a subcontractor. Chief was a fan of hockey and huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings and lover of his dogs. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Marissa Brown and her son, Anthony Joseph of Enfield, and Jacqueline Brown of Windsor Locks and his beloved service dog, Mylee; a brother, James Brown and his wife, Laura of Enfield; a sister-in-law, Dolores Brown of Enfield and her children, Nicholas and Victoria Brown; his mother-in-law, Patricia Kinsley of Windsor Locks; brother-in-law, Bill Kinsley and his wife, Nancy of Suffield; two sisters-in-law, Lori Connell of Windsor Locks and Leanne Larson and her husband, Sandy of Portland, CT and several other nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by a brother, Gerald "Jerry" Brown, Jr. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service for Dave will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, December 30,2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
