Obituary for Corey Michael Tran

Corey Michael Tran
Our son, our friend, our soul to the end. Corey Michael Tran left this life too soon on Saturday, November 25th at his home in Windsor Locks. Corey was a sweet and thoughtful champion of the cause. He was an artist, a musician, a writer, a poet, a philosopher, and a lover. His quick wit, infectious smile, and many talents kept us laughing and entertained. He cared more about you than himself and he had your back….he still does. Corey was so full of life that the world he lived in with all of its injustice and hypocrisy was something that affected him tremendously. He placed freedom above all else in his life. Freedom is a state of mind and this was his. He was a free spirit. He is an original, a maverick, sympathetic to your struggle, and lost his way at times. To lose this soul is tragic beyond belief but we all know his heart and mind needed relief. And we will never forget the love and the happiness that Corey gave to all who knew and loved him. Corey is survived by his mother Jessica Hebert, step-father Tim Hebert, father Jason Tran, and step-mother Bridget Tran. He also leaves behind 5 siblings, brothers Tyler, Zach, and Nathan, and sisters Kayla and Julia; his maternal grandmother Danielle Hamley, maternal grandfather Gordon Hamley, step-grandparents Harold and Janice Hebert, his paternal grandparents Doreen and Joshua Tran. He was beloved by his Aunts and Uncles, Jason and Christine Hamley, Gianna and Mike Jablonowski, Sarah Tran, Connie and Matt Paullis, and Great-Uncle George Ducharme. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rest in Peace sweet soul, we know you are always in our hearts, and just whisper in our ear, what we need to hear, when we need to hear it most. We love you so. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, December 4, 2017, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 South Elm St, Windsor Locks. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
