Obituary for George T. Pashos

George T.  Pashos
George T. Pashos, 86, of Windsor Locks, loving husband to Stella (Andrews) Pashos, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, November 23, 2017. George was born February 15, 1931, in Worcester, MA the son of the late Theodore and Athina (Kyrkos) Pashos. George proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany with the 16th Infantry Regiment. He retired in 1985 from the former Combustion Engineering in Windsor after 29 years. George served on the Windsor Locks Auxiliary Police for several years and volunteered with the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance. He was a faithful member of St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church and was a member of the former St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Enfield. He could often be found tinkering with cars or restoring an antique clock, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Stella to whom he was married 61years, he is also survived by four children, Theodore Pashos and his wife, Gail of St. Charles, Missouri, Stephanie Marino and her husband, Gary of Haddam, Andrew Pashos and his partner, Karen Manzone of East Windsor and Kathleen Tirinzoni and her husband, Joseph of Avon; his five beloved grandchildren, Gregory and Anthony Marino, Nicholas, Michael and Madeline Pashos; his sister, Alexandria Tsitaridis and several nieces and nephews. George’s family would like thank his caregiver Joyce and the nurses and staff on the 6th Floor at St. Francis for their wonderful and compassionate care given to George. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm with a Trisagion Service at 6:30 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service celebrating George’s life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 10 am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Spring St., Windsor Locks. Memorial contributions may be made to Enfield Loaves and Fishes, P.O. Box 544 Enfield, CT 06083-0544.
