Obituary for Albert "Al" Pranckus

Albert G. "Al" Pranckus, 80, of South Windsor, husband of the late Joanne Pranckus, entered into eternal peace Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home. Born and raised in South Windsor, Al was the son of the late Anthony and Anna Pranckus. He lived in Rockville for several years before moving back to South Windsor. He was retired from First Brands after 20 years with the company. Al served honorably in the U.S. Army in Korea. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, cooking and baking. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors.
He is survived by a daughter, Rochelle Rawding and her husband Randy of Oxford, ME, two sisters, Amelia Capitain , and Anna Myers both of South Windsor, five grandchildren, Faith Marquart, Randy Rawding II, Israelle Welch, George Farnsworth, and Barbara Abramson, 6 great grandchildren, Micah, Malachi, and Matthais Marquart , Titan Welch, Alexis Farnsworth and Sofia Dayton and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and John Pranckus, and two sisters, Julia Raulikitus and Frances Benson.Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. noon immediately followed by a funeral service at noon, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.
