Obituary for Kazimiera M. Kowalski (Marcinczak)

Kazimiera (Marcinczak) Kowalski, 87, of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Joseph Kowalski entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Hartford Hospital. Kazimiera was born January 16, 1930, in Poland the daughter of the late Michael and Agnieszka (Wciorka) Marcinczak. Kazimiera and Joseph were married in 1959 in Poland and she immigrated to the United States in 1960. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Suffield for several years. Kazimiera enjoyed traveling, working in her flower garden, and could often be found doing some type or arts and crafts whether it was painting, crocheting, quilting or knitting. Kazimeria will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dedicated herself to her family. She is survived by two sons, Michael Kowalski and his wife, Therese of Broad Brook and Edward Kowalski of Windsor Locks; four grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Rachel and Jennifer and her husband, Sean; a great grandson, Austin and several family members in Poland. Kazimiera was predeceased by a daughter, Maria J. Kowalski. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service celebrating Kazimiera’s life will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
