Obituary for Theresa Charette (Lagasse)

Theresa (Lagasse) Charette, 79, of Enfield, CT loving wife of the late Roger Charette, Sr. entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Evergreen Health Care Center. Theresa was born September 30, 1938, in Caribou, Maine the daughter of the late Thomas and Cecilia(Edmond) Lagasse. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church. Theresa retired from Parkway Pavilion Healthcare Center where she was employed as a CNA for several years. She was an avid fan of NASCAR which she would never admit to. Theresa will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caregiver who gave tirelessly of herself to help others. She is survived by four children, Charlene Charette of Enfield, Cynthia Poulin of Broad Brook, Roger Charette, Jr.of Enfield and Tammy Clark and her husband, Ray of Enfield; her six grandchildren, Crystal Suttle, Michelle Watters, Celina and Monique Orton, Raymond and Travis Clark; her four great-grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Rachel Johnson, Hunter Van, and Raymond Clark, IV; two brothers, Walter Lagasse and his wife, Eileen of Windsor and Norman Lagasse and his wife, Ursula of East Hartford and many nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by four sisters, Martha Vellieux, Lucille Roy, Stella Michaud and Viola Nardi and a son-in-law, Henry Poulin, IV. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather on Friday, October 13, at 9 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10am at St. Bernard Church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Theresa may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
