"Babe" Morrone, 80, of Enfield, CT loving husband of 60 years to "His Dream Girl"Barbara (James) Morrone entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Carmine was born November 10, 1936, in Harford, CT the son of the late Francis "Frank" and Mildred (DiBenedetto) Morrone. Babe as he was affectionately called by family and friends proudly served in the CT Air National Guard. He was the owner and operator of Bayview Landing in Niantic for over 35 years. His love of CB radios and shortwave radios gave him the opportunity to talk and make friends worldwide. Babe served as past President of the Enfield Mall Association. His love of cars led to owning a service station in Hartford and also owning many cars including racing cars. Babe was the "wizard" he knew how to fix anything and everything. Anyone could ask him how to fix something and even if he physically couldn't be there he would give a detailed explanation so they could fix it themselves. Babe cherished the time spent with his family. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is also survived by their daughter, Kathy Freedman( She was his chip off the old block and his eyes always sparkles for her) and her husband, Michael of Somers; his grandchildren, Robert and Nicole Morrone, Jonathon and Carmine LeBlanc, Joshua Freedman, and Sarah Scheidel; three great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Brennan LeBlanc and Carmine LeBlanc, Jr and several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law.
