Jeffrey Allen "Jeff"  Galica
Jeffrey A. Galica, 54, of Suffield, beloved husband of Marie (Gilhooly) Galica for 28 years, passed away Wednesday September 13, 2017. Born in Springfield, MA, Jeff was raised in West Springfield, MA. He earned a Masters Degree from Western New England College and was employed at United Technologies Aerospace Systems for 32 years. Jeff was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, and was a member of Crestview Country Club. He also was a member of the Suffield Knights Of Columbus Council #6281. He was a very kind, gentle and loving man. He was a very involved father, very active with his children's athletics and took great pride in watching and cheering them on. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, especially golf, skiing, and fishing. In his youth he was a golf caddy for several years and was awarded the Francis Ouimet scholarship. He also enjoyed family vacations to Cape May, NJ, Ogunquit, ME, and Otis, MA. Besides his wife Marie, Jeff is survived by three children, Julia of New Haven, Zachary and Timothy of Suffield; his father, Zeigfred Galica of West Springfield; two brothers, David Galica and his wife Jacqueline of Wallingford, CT, James Galica and his wife Lorraine of Westhampton, MA; his mother-in-law, Mary (Dowd) Gilhooly of Springfield, MA; sisters-in-law, Theresa Hala of East Longmeadow, MA, Joan Parsons and her husband Douglas of Montague, MA, Eileen Gilhooly of Springfield, MA; four nephews, Thomas Galica and his wife Christine of Easthampton, MA, Jonathan Galica of Wallingford, CT, Benjamin Galica of Hadley, MA, Anthony Hala of East Longmeadow, MA. Jeff was predeceased by his mother, Louise (Pomeroy) Galica, and his father-in-law, James Gilhooly. Visitation hours will be held from 3-8 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church (Please Meet at Church) , 446 Mountain Rd, Suffield, CT.
