Obituary for Robert Allevo

Robert V. Allevo, 79, of Enfield, beloved husband of May (Quinn) Allevo for 57 years, entered into eternal peace Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Bob was born March 18, 1938 in Hartford where he was raised. He moved to the Enfield community in 1965 and was retired from Stop & Shop after 25 years, and later retired from the South Windsor Public Schools, where he was employed for 22 years. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Besides his wife May, Bob is survived by four children, Robin Bruce and her partner John Kucienski, Scott Allevo (owner of Allevo Plumbing), Stacy DaRos and her husband Donald, and Chris Allevo and his companion Anthi all of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Stephen and Joshua Bruce, Anthony and Amber DaRos, Azaria, Chris, and Nick Allevo; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Bruce; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his father, Peter Allevo, and a brother Teddy Allevo. Bob's family wishes to thank Home & Community Hospice for the special care they provided. An hour of visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. followed immediately by a funeral service at 10 a.m.Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.
