Susan Ellen  Janssen (West)
Susan E. (West) Janssen, 51, of Enfield, loving wife of Timothy J. Janssen, Jr. entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born October 13, 1965, in Hartford, CT, the daughter of James R. West of North Shrewsbury, VT and Barbara A. Whittet of East Windsor, CT. Susan was the proud owner of Sue's Shirt Creations in Somersville for 22 years. She was also the co-owner of Grande Farm in Enfield where she worked for several years alongside her husband, Tim. Susan was an animal lover, who enjoyed horseback riding, movies and traveling. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her beloved family. In addition to her husband and junior high sweetheart, Sue is also survived by her two children, Timothy J. Janssen, III and his wife and Sue's best friend, Malinda of Stafford Springs and Lindsay M. Janssen at home; her three brothers, David A. West and his wife, Lisa of Enfield, Robert J. West and his wife, Margaret of Enfield and Frederick West and his wife, Mandy of Hebron; three sisters, Deborah Marocchini of Lutz, FL, Pamela Allard of East Windsor and Catherine E. Jansen and her husband, Paul of East Hampton, CT; Eleven nieces, Jessica, Becky, Monica, Jennifer, Kristin, Kelly, Kari, Grace, Leona, Amber and Kianna; five nephews, Anthony, James, Ben, Max, and Freddy; three great-nieces, Emmalyn, Claire, and Maria; and a great-nephew, Dominic. Sue was predeceased by a brother, Edward West. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 5 to 8 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
