Obituary for Emma M. Kall-Mele

Emma M. (Lemelin) Kall-Mele, 71, of Stafford Springs passed away peacefully Saturday, August 5, 2017. She was born May 12, 1946 in New Britain, the daughter of the late Jerome and Emma Lemelin. Emma was a homemaker but her true joy in life was tending to her garden. She was a lover of nature, had a passion for animals of all kinds and nurtured many back to health. Emma is survived by her loving husband, Michael Mele of Stafford Springs; her two sons, Richard Kall and his partner, Carrie Bemis of Burlington and Jeffrey Kall of Plainville; two beloved grandchildren, Cassandra Kall and Spencer Kall; and a brother-in-law, Mark Mele and his wife, Laura. Emma was predeceased by a step-son, Michael Mele. Calling hours in remembrance of Emma's life will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main Street (Route 190), Somers, CT 06071. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Emma may be made to The CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
