Richard A. "Richie"  Pauluh
Richard "Richie" A. Pauluh, 72, of Windsor Locks, widower of Somsri (Chararwat) Pauluh, entered into eternal peace Saturday July 22, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, He was the son of the late Michael Pauluh and Michaeline (Mastalisz) Pauluh of Windsor Locks. He was dedicated to his country serving in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years earning the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring. He served during the Vietnam conflict in both Thailand and Vietnam. Following his tours in Vietnam, he was selected as 1 of 50 men to join an Air Force team to go to Antarctica as part of Operation Deep Freeze. Richie later graduated from the Office of Special Investigation School and became a Special Agent for the Air Force. Outside of his military career, he enjoyed fishing, watching his morning movie, mowing his lawn three times a week, and raising his garden, giving most of his bounty away to friends and family. Richie was also employed as a Carpenter/Locksmith at Trinity College retiring after 20 years at the college. Above all, he loved and adored his grandchildren. Besides his mother, Richie is survived by his daughter, Sue Mancino of Windsor Locks; a son-in-law, Anthony Mancino III of Windsor Locks; a brother, Ronald Pauluh of TN, a sister, Margaret Peterson and her husband Bobby of FL; his two beloved grandchildren, Anthony Mancino IV and Ava Mancino. Visitation hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. followed by military honors rendered by the U.S. Air Force at 7 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.
