Obituary for Judith Whitten (Hinckley)

Judith H. Whitten, 86, of Windsor Locks, formerly of Suffield, beloved wife, mother and matriarch, died surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Judith was predeceased by her late husband William ‘Bill’ Whitten III and daughter Lisa M. Whitten. She is survived by sons William R. Whitten IV and his wife Madeline of Brooklyn; Tom Whitten and his wife Christine of Simsbury; her granddaughter Andrea Boyd and husband Travis of Chesapeake, Virginia; and grandson William R. Whitten V of Brooklyn. She also leaves two great-grandsons, Deandré and Jordan, both of Chesapeake. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Judith was a model of integrity and hard work and an inspiration to her children. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 5 pm to7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home 441 Spring Street Windsor Locks, CT. 06096. A funeral service for Judith will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 11 am at the Congregational Church of Windsor Locks, 8 Main St., Windsor Locks. Please meet at the church.
