Shirley A. Therian, 82, of Windsor Locks, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Hartford Hospital with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Bertrum and Maude (White) Washburn, she was born and raised in the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor, and lived in Windsor Locks for most of her life. Shirley was employed in the housekeeping profession for 30 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed finding interesting treasures during her tag-sale adventures. Most important to Shirley was her family whom she enjoyed spending time with, especially her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Diana Dondero of Feeding Hills, MA and Cheryl Cobb and her husband Kenneth of Windsor Locks; five grandchildren, Miranda and Alyssa Dondero, Thomas, Kate, and Charlotte Cobb; her former husband and confidant, Richard Therian of Windsor Locks, a niece and a nephew, Nianne Kelley and Jerry Ashbach of Georgia; and her good friend, Elaine Gould of Windsor Locks. She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Moyer of GA. Shirley's family wishes to thank the staff at Bickford Healthcare and the staff at Hartford Hospital for the wonderful care they provided. Services and burial will be private and held at the family's convenience. Windsor Locks Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
