Dorothy “Dot” (Hooper) Johnson, 105, formerly of the Hazardville section of Enfield, widow of Stanley N. “Pete” Johnson, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2017. Dorothy was born Oct. 10, 1911 in Dickson, TN, was formerly of Memphis, TN and had been a resident of Enfield since 1961. She was a graduate of Curry College in Boston. Dot was a longtime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Springfield and served as president of the Woman’s Club of Enfield from 1981 to 1983. Also, she was a member of the Alpha Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Dorothy is survived by her twin granddaughters, Laurie and Lisa Boulerice. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Harold Fekays and several stepchildren. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday June 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Ave., Springfield. Burial services will be private at the convenience of the family at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. Memorial donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Ave. Springfield, MA 01108.
