The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Kathleen Kowalenko can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Brian,
Know that you did all you can do and unfortunately, as we all know, this is a part of life. She will always be with you in spirit and now she is at peace. Cancer is a terrible disease that has hit us all. Your mom was one of the greatest fighters I ever knew and gentlest too. Remember the good days. God bless you all.

Condolence: Be at peace, Brian. You have been a faithful and loving son, and I'm sure you will never regret the time and care that you gave to your mother. I can only imagine how much she loved and appreciated you.
I will remember Kathy for her generous service to young people through her work in Scouts, through her dedication to the Arts Festival, and through her commitment to learning in the JFK library. I remember that in spite of her pain and discomfort, Kathy (with Brian's help) came to school for as long as she possibly could. I do not remember her complaining. Now that her long and difficult journey has ended, may she find eternal rest and peace.

Condolence From: Richard M. Fahey
Condolence: It was personally rewarding to have "crossed paths in life" with Kathy in the pursuit to educate our youth. It was also humbling to be associated with Kathy as The Enfield Woman's Club Chairperson for the Annual Arts Festival... for years. Kathy was always positive, compassionate and committed to "excellence in arts education" and no place better was this displayed than during the Annual Arts Festival.

May Kathy's Soul bask in the light of Christ for all eternity, and her spirit live on in our daily deeds.
