Patricia A. (Hannigan) Ricci, 70, of Somers, loving wife of Thomas A. Ricci passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Pat was born September 4, 1946, in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Yvonne (Demuth) Hannigan. Pat was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing. She was employed as a nurse with the Vernon VNA and MARCH Inc, before finishing her career as the Director of Nursing for Suffield House’s Eagle Pointe. Pat will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and caring nurse who gave tirelessly of herself to help others. Pat is survived by her two daughters, Regina Ricci of Rowlett, TX, and Christine Ricci and her fiancé, Tim Lesniak, of Stafford Springs; Melanie Madore, who was like a daughter to Pat, of Rowlett, TX; her brother, Joseph B. Hannigan Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Windsor Locks; her sisters, Nancy Gegesky and her husband, Charles Jr. of West Suffield, Gail Quinn and her husband, Gary Jr. of Ellington; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frances and John Ricci of Enfield; her sister-in-law, Fran Barrett of South Windsor; her brother-in-law, Jay Ricci and his wife, Debbie, of Westfield, MA; her sister-in-law, Jody Stankiewicz and her husband, Michael, of Enfield; her cat, Otis; her three granddogs, Lucky, Zoe, and Kensi, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was predeceased by her son, Michael Quaglini. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 9 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Bernard Church in Hazardville at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery in Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Nurses’ Foundation.
