Michael F. Cook, 55, of Windsor passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at home. Michael was born September 27, 1961, in Hartford, CT the son of Francis Sr. and Carole (McDonald) Cook of Windsor Locks. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School Class of 1979. He was a graduate of Capital Community College where he received a degree in nursing. Michael was currently working as a nurse at Kimberly Hall North and previously worked at Windsor Rehab for many years. Michael was a huge fan of Broadway shows and musicals. In addition to his parents he is also survived by his siblings, John Cook of Windsor Locks, Francis Cook, Jr. and his wife, Victoria of Feeding Hills, MA and Kathleen Melinosky of Windsor Locks; his nieces and nephews, Emily and Thomas Melinosky, Jordan and Paige Cook. Michael was predeceased y his brother-in-law, Daniel Melinosky. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Michael may be made to St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
