Mathew Scott "Matt"  Burton
Mathew Scott "Matt" Burton, 27, of Windsor Locks and formerly of Enfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at home. He was born in Manchester, CT, on November 29, 1989; son of Michael Burton (Linda) of Springfield and Lori Koehnlein of Windsor Locks. Matt was a graduate of Porter and Chester Institute Class of 2011, he received a certificate in Career Electrical Wiring. He was an avid sports fan, participating in all sports especially basketball, football, and baseball in his youth; he was also a passionate Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox Fan. He was an enthusiastic history buff and enjoyed playing video games. His pride and joy were his nieces and nephew. He was a caring son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for his big heart and love for his family. He leaves his parents, two brothers, John Burton and Nick Burton both of Windsor Locks, a sister; Michele Lynch of NH; paternal grandmother, Lola Wilson, maternal grandfather, John Marsh; three nieces, Emma, Ayva, Chloe; a nephew, Nicholas, Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Matt was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Betty L. Marsh and his best friend RJ Hall. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. A funeral service will immediately follow. Burial will be held in Enfield Street Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
