Bridget (Russo) Voto, 89, of No. Ft. Myers, FL and formerly of Somers, CT, wife of the late Samuel Voto, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2016. Born in Hartford Oct. 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Antoinetta (Maselli) Russo. She attended local schools and was a 1945 graduate of Weaver High School. She lived in East Windsor and Somers before moving to No. Fort Myers, FL recently. Bridget was a loyal and longtime employee at Hartford Hospital, serving as Coordinator of the Operating Rooms until her retirement. She also spent many evenings and weekends working alongside her husband Sam at the Fireside Restaurant in Enfield. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, knitting, reading and ceramics. She was an excellent baker and her delicious confections will be missed by many. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Patrick and Nick Russo. She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Voto and her fiancé, Jeff Lee, of No. Fort Myers, FL; her sister Phyllis Genua of Rocky Hill, CT; several very special nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends in CT and FL. Always eager to extend a helping hand, she will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service for Bridget will be held at the funeral home at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield. Donations in Bridget's name may be made to Make-a-Wish Southern Florida, 3655 Bonita Beach Rd, Suite 3, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
