Born in Stafford, a son of the late Albert C. and Edith "Eva" (DellAquila) D'Alessandro, he had lived in the Enfield community for most of life, moving to East Windsor, where he resided for five years, before returning to Enfield in 2016. After high school, he began a 30 plus year association with Allied Rehabilitation Center in Enfield, both as an employee and a participant in many of the various programs and services sponsored by Allied Rehabilitation. Albert enjoyed family gathering and dinners and especially liked his weekly "Out to Dinner" Friday nights with his siblings and on many Friday nights, extended family members joined in. He is survived by his brother and two sisters: Robert D'Alessandro of Windsor, Cindy Licitra of Enfield, and Camille Smith and her husband, Darryl, of Worthington, MA.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, many cousins, and his uncle, Stephen DellAquila and his wife, Donna. Albert's family wishes to acknowledge the Staff at Parkway Pavilion, for the extraordinary care they extended to Albert. Relatives and friends may join his family at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., on Wednesday (June 7) at 10:30 a.m. for a funeral procession to St. Bernard Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. His family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Albert's family has suggested that expressions of sympathy may be in the form of memorial donations to The Allied Rehabilitation Center, 3 Pearson Way, Enfield, CT 06082 or Masonicare Hospice , 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06108.
