Eleanor L. Crowley, 85, beloved wife of the late Ronald P. Crowley (2010) passed away at Connecticut Hospice Hospital,Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017. Born in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Ethel (Elliott) Townsend. Growing up on a farm, Eleanor enjoyed the simple things. She loved the ocean, animals, flowers and wildlife. She was a resident of the Enfield community since 1961 and was retired from Combustion Engineering. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Ann Crowley Danforth of York, ME, and Sylvia Sylvester and her husband Charles of Wethersfield; five grandchildren, Heather Henderson and her husband Nathan Henderson, Sophie Petkus, Lindsay, Nicole, and John Sylvester. Three sisters, Elizabeth Landry of East Concord, NH, Pauline Beaulieu and her husband Norman of Manchester, NH, and Beverly Frawley and her husband George of Pembroke, NH. She also leaves many nieces and nephews including her much loved niece Beth Ann of Bradford, NH, and her longtime friend Jenny Calano of Enfield. Besides her husband, Eleanor was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Petkus in 2013. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation hours will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Family and friends will gather at 9 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 3, 2018 for a prayer service prior to the funeral procession to Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Committal will follow at Hazardville cemetery.
