Margaret "Peg"  Patterson
Margaret T. "Peg" Patterson, 89, of Somers, widow of William Patterson (1983) entered into eternal peace Saturday, December 2, 2017. The daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (LeDuc) Taylor, Peg was born in Stafford Springs and had lived in Somers for most of her life. She was retired from SNET after 20 years with the company. She was involved with the Somers Senior Center in Somers, and was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed vacationing with her sisters and loved to be with her family. Before arthritis prevented it, she also enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by three children, William Patterson Jr. and his wife Karen, Margaret Loureiro, Ruth Koski and her husband Walter,a brother, James Taylor and his wife Shirley, a sister, Lucille Patterson, a sister-in-law, Mary Laro, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a son, Michael Patterson, two brothers, William and John Taylor, and one sister, Elizabeth Ivanicki. Visitation hours will be held from 3-6 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., Somers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at All Saints Church in Somersville (Please meet at church). Burial will follow at New West Cemetery in Somers. Donations in Peg's memory may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074.
