Claudia A. Lingua, 70, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife of 48 years to Peter J. Lingua, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on September 6, 1945, in Stafford, CT, a daughter of the late W. Bernard Naughton and Lenora Levensaler of East Windsor. Claudia has been a resident of the Windsor Locks community for 48 years, she was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Windsor Locks and St. Bernard Church in Enfield. She was employed for Pratt and Whitney for several years before she began her motherhood journey. She enjoyed crafts and was a talented seamstress. Claudia had an eye for home décor, making a house a home for her entire family with her creative ability and knack for designing. In addition to her husband Peter and her mother, she is survived by her three children, Peter A. Lingua, of Windsor Locks, Matthew J. Lingua of East Windsor, and Gina Marie Lingua and her partner Matthew Zeigler of Windsor Locks; two granddaughters, Lilyanna Marie Lingua-Cutler and Isabella Mae Lingua-Cutler; two sisters, Karen J. Cahill and her husband Dr. Charles of Suffield, and Heidi Priestman and her husband George of Tiverton, RI ; a brother William B. Naughton, Jr. as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either Isabella Lingua-Cutler or Lilyanna Lingua-Cutler for their education.
