Robert J. "Bob"  Quinlivan
Robert J. ”Bob” Quinlivan, 90, lifelong resident of Windsor Locks and loving husband of 67 years to the late Muriel R. (Lynskey) Quinlivan entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, in the comfort of his daughter’s home surrounded by his family. Robert was born August 22, 1925, in Windsor Locks the son of the late George and Caroline (Rice) Quinlivan. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was employed with Windsor Locks Lumber and retired from Colli Wagner Real Estate where he worked as a bookkeeper for several years. He was a member of the Gensi-Viola American Legion Post # 36 of Windsor Locks and an active member of the Windsor Locks Jaycees. Bob was a parishioner of St. Mary Church and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by a loving daughter Gail Ladny of Tolland; five grandchildren, Colleen and Carrie Ladny, Emily Galloway and her husband, JT, Audry and Carly Persano; two sisters, Marian Dineen of Stafford and Joan Durnin of RI; a son-in-law, James Persano and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Muriel, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Laury Persano; a son-in-law, William Ladny and a brother, Edward Quinlivan. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11 am at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks followed by Military Honors after the Mass. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 105 Windsor Locks. CT 06096.
