Obituary for Stanley R. Braun
Stanley R. Braun, 81, of Ashford, CT, husband of the late Hannah Marie
(O'Shea) Braun (2014), entered into eternal peace Monday, June 27, 2016 at
Evergreen Healthcare in Stafford. Stan was born in New York, NY and
was a son of the late Frederick and Fannie (Benowolz) Braun. He was raised in
Morris Plains, NJ and had lived in Enfield, CT for 27 years before moving
to Ashford, CT. He honored his country by serving in the U.S. Air Force. He
was employed as an accountant for 20 years. Stan loved traveling and
excelled at Chess earning the honor of Chess Champion. His family was
very important to him and he was very supportive of them. He is
survived by his daughter, Marilyn Shambo and her husband Rick of
Enfield, CT; three grandchildren, Rosanne Fisher, Heather Hathaway and her fiance Ryan Sherman, and Dennis Hathaway, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Shyla and Miles Fisher. Besides his wife, Stan was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Spirer. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday July 1, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Tinkham Rd., Springfield, MA. Donations in Stanley's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
